Position Details
The Financial Services team invites qualified applicants to apply for the full-time continuing position of Manager, Revenue Accounting, to start as soon as possible.
Reporting to the Director, Financial Operations, this position is responsible for implementing the institution’s revenue, receipts, and receivable policies and processes, while assessing their effectiveness and the risk environment. The Manager, Revenue Accounting monitors results, implements collection practices, and is responsible for compliance with related Public Sector Accounting Standards and legislation.
This role manages the central Cash Office team, and day-to-day posting / accounts receivable functions. The Cash Office provides exceptional service to students when accepting payments, responding to inquiries, communicating fees and deadlines, and providing related tax slips. There are regular, routine processing tasks both performed and overseen by the role, as well as semester and other deadline driven and scheduled work. Managing the revenue and accounts receivable module requires the incumbent to consult with a variety of stakeholders to develop and test system effectiveness and upgrades.

Position Qualifications
The successful candidate may possess a Canadian accounting designation, plus a minimum of 5 years related experience that demonstrates:
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, with emphasis on internal controls
  • Excellent operational management skills
  • Effectiveness leading a team
  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills

The successful candidate will complement their strong technical knowledge in accounting with a proven ability to build relationships, using exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical skills, and drive. This is a fast-paced dynamic environment, where adapting to change, managing deadlines, and the ability to respond positively and professionally under pressure are keys to success.

Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
$69,932.07 - $87,974.33 annually

Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
$69,932.07 - $106,016.59 annually (APO - Grade 4)
