Snapshot of the position

This position takes place in in our fabrication shop, the role requires some experience and working knowledge within custom fabricate and weld various structural steel parts. We ensure our welders become CWB certified to custom assemble and weld fabricated steel. Some job-related equipment you will use are, the iron worker, drill press, torch, angle grinder, small power tools and overhead cranes. We do not expect you to do any field work, but there are opportunities for those who may be interested in joining our road crew. We at M&G support those who want to move within the company. For those who want steady work in our shop, this is for you.

Duties and responsibilities

• Occasionally operate a Forklift and Overhead crane to assist with moving materials within the workshop. (Training to be provided on both).

• Maintains a safe attitude when using equipment and while working in a workshop

Requirements & Experience

• Comfortable taking measurements and reading blueprints with weld symbols.
• Fluent in English to communicate with all departments at M&G (Drafting or Road Crew)
• A reliable mode of transportation is required for this position. There is no access to transit. Schedule expectations are below.
• We aim for greater than 2 years experience in a similar role or those with welding experience.
• Has knowledge of CWB and willingness to be certified.

Work Schedule

Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Friday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
