We are looking for a Maintenance Planner to work collaboratively with a high functioning team to drive continuous improvement, gather requirements and support our business objectives. You will assist the team leads/technical supervisor with future maintenance activities such as maintenance planning and scheduling, outage coordination, procuring materials, developing work order requests, and coordinating field maintenance contractors and ensure that resources are identified for effective and efficient work execution.

What you will do:
  • Collaborate with area Technicians, area Scheduler, Regional Maximo Analyst (RMA), and Outage Coordinator to optimize the coordination of Preventative Maintenance (PM) scheduling and execution.
  • Review job scope, procedures, and job plans with lead technicians.
  • Estimate required hours, by craft, to perform work and skills required to perform tasks.
  • Complete initial and final work order screening process for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and document system and operational impacts.
  • Communicate site/area operational outage requirements with the Region Outage Coordinator.
  • Assist in the development of area outage plans and schedules.
  • Identify requirements of equipment isolation and lock-out plans.
  • Collaborate with technicians and area field engineers as needed.
Who you are:
  • Eight‐plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience OR related university degree and six‐plus years’ experience.
  • Experience using computerized maintenance management system (Maximo.)
  • Strong maintenance planning and scheduling skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, or a part of a broad team.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
  • Undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to 5-year driving record, criminal check and a company sponsored medical and drug testing.
Working Conditions:
  • Office setting (60%) Field setting (40%.)
  • Occasionally required to work long hours on short notice.
  • Occasionally you may require travel of 50 -150 kilometers between assigned stations and travel throughout the region within Canada for emergencies, training, and regional meetings.
