Position and Responsibilities


As a member of the maintenance department at the Port Hope Conversion facility, you will be responsible for mechanical repairs for production equipment throughout the continuous processing facility. Daily responsibilities include inspecting, testing, repairing, installation, adjust and maintain all mechanical equipment and to set up and operate all types of machine tools, CNC equipment and perform layout, fitting and assembly work involved in the conversion facility.

The starting hourly rate for this position is $41.41 along with competitive benefits and retirement saving. Top rate is $44.77.

Education and Qualifications


Requirements of the position:

  • Certificate of qualification as industrial machinist
  • 3-5 years of experience working within an industrial environment
  • Physically capable of performing assigned duties
  • Possesses required trade related hand tools
  • Demonstrated work performance that is consistent with a team environment
  • Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong commitment to health, safety and environment
  • Clear background check
