Goudreau Personnel by Swinton Ltd. is currently recruiting for the following roles, for one of our valued customers due to the expansion of their business operations:

5-6+ MACHINE OPERATORS & MACHINE SET-UP TECHNICIANS

Position Specifics: Full time Direct Hire roles with an expanding and reputable company that offers a safe and climate controlled environment . Room for advancement for the right candidates with the right attitude. Must be mechanically inclined for a few of the specific machines. All applicants will be asked to complete a “comprehension test” and a “mechanical aptitude” test, that will determine which machines they are suitable for and at what pay range. Extensive training provided.

Location: Windsor, ON

Compensation: $17-20.00/hour + shift premiums (Afternoons - $1.30 /hour & Midnights - $2.60/hr) + benefits + double match pension + EAP + tuition reimbursements + overtime after 44 hours + double-time on Sundays + uniform/safety boot allowance (and much more) *wages based on level of skill and technical ability

Shifts: All new employees required to start on steady days for training for a minimum of 2-4 months (possibly longer). But there are shifts available that rotate (days/afternoons) and there are a few steady midnight shifts.

Job Description:

The Machine Operators are responsible for the operation and set-up of parts on machines. Responsible for the inspection of products being produced to assure conformance to all specifications and workmanship standards.

Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:

• Operating assigned production machine at optimum efficiency
• Visual and dimensional quality checks using inspection gauges
• Raw material review prior to production start
• Loading new material at machine as required
• Daily maintenance on machines - lubricants, etc
• Other duties as assigned - may differ depending on machine employee is assigned to

Qualifications:

• Must have good mechanical aptitude, ability to problem solve and display consistent and solid judgement
• High school diploma or trade school graduate
• A Mechanical Aptitude / Comprehension Test and Mathematical Test is required to complete prior to the interview process
• Minimum one (1) - three (3) years manufacturing/production experience (depending on machine and will determine wage)
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds using approved lifting techniques
• Able to use hand tools such as saws, use measuring tools such as callipers and operate machines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willing to learn, flexible, accountable and detail-oriented.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision and collaborate with others.
• Strong track record of achieving targets, deadlines and sense of urgency.
