We are currently looking to add a hardworking, enthusiastic Lounge Server to our Team. The Lounge Server is responsible for providing excellent service to all guests during their lounge experience including receiving and delivering guests orders and collecting payment.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

· Having a thorough knowledge of menus and current lounge specials.

· Receiving and delivering food and beverage orders and collect payment.

· Serving guests with all food and beverage requirements in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.

· Pre-busing all tables removing soiled dishes after each course.

· Operating the P.O.S system.

· Performing cashiering functions by closing checks and preparing end of shift paperwork.

· Performing opening and closing procedures and side-work duties according to station rotation assignment and established checklist.

· Ensuring that tables and side stands are kept stocked, tidy and clean.

· Keeping all beverages at least ¾ full (coffee, tea, soda, water, and lemonade).

· Breaking down trays of soiled dishes and linen in the dish room according to established standards.

· Answering the telephone according to standards.

· Consistently upselling food, beverage and promotional items to guests.

· Being familiar with fire extinguishers, locations and know how to use them.

· Ensuring overall guest satisfaction.

· Communicating both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.

· Effectively listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.

· Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.

· Attending all hotel required meetings and trainings.

· Maintaining regular attendance, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.

· Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.

· Complying with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.

· Maximizing efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.

· Effectively handle problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.

· Understanding and applying complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.

· Cross-training in other hotel related areas.

· Maintaining confidentiality of information.

· Demonstrating initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.

· Maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.

· Performing other duties as requested by management.

Knowledge & Skills Required

Include but are not limited to:

· 2 years of previous work experience in customer service is required.

· High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.

· Computer experience required.

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

· Flexible and long hours sometimes required.

· Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

· Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.

· Must hold strong communication skills, both verbally and written.

· Must have a proven ability to take initiative and be respectful of diversity.
