Established in 1996 in St. Catharines, Davidson Environmental is an organic food waste disposal and recycling company serving within the province of Ontario, specializing in the Regions of Niagara, Hamilton, Haldimand, Halton, Oxford, Brant, Norfolk, Waterloo, Wellington, Perth, Huron, Grey, Middlesex, Lambton, Chatham-Kent, and Essex.
We are currently looking to fill a full-time afternoon position within our company. That individual would be a responsible and experienced general labourer, with the ability to operate a forklift and perform warehouse tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in any of the following fields: warehouse - grounds keeping - sanitation and assisting all staff with daily duties.
Major Responsibilities:
- Pressure washing organic waste totes
- Loading and unloading of Trucks
- Moving wheeled totes around the warehouse
- Dumping organic waste totes
- Forklift operation
- Assisting all supporting staff with day-to-day duties
- Regular communication with shift staff, supervisors, and management
- All other duties as required
Job Requirements:
- Ability to move heavy totes on wheels and lift 50 lbs., a must
- Experience operating a forklift is a must
- Ability to handle strong odors (organic waste material)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Responsible and strong time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Passion and commitment to Health & Safety
- Experience with large volume pressure washer an asset
- Must be available to work weekends
