Jr. Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Represent the organization with the highest level of professionalism, knowledge, and pride
  • Oversee all accounting/bookkeeping functions including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivables
  • Communicate with an external accounting firm for month/year end reporting
  • Generate monthly financial statements
  • Compare P& L summaries and accounts for variances
  • Oversee account for reconcile and analyze discrepancies
  • Provide analytical, administrative & financial information
  • Ability to forecast and review business plans
  • Manage office supplies
  • Basic IT duties: respond to all Google reviews and review all website content for accuracies
  • Deliver/Pick-Up car ownerships/registration/licence plates from Service Ontario

Non-Essential Job Duties/ Tasks

  • Maintaining financial files, records and historical data
  • Scanning and uploading of required documents
  • Filing and organizing records
  • Perform other administrative duties as required
  • Assist with answering phone at main Reception during scheduled breaks of receptionist

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably specializing in business, accounting, or similar field of study
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in Jr. Accounting role
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Understanding of Canadian Tax laws and policies
  • Obtain/posses an OMVIC Licence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • High degree of self-motivation

We require Police Check and Valid G licence

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25/hour
