Propak Systems Ltd. is an established leader in engineering, fabrication, and construction of gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry. We are currently seeking Journeyman Millwrights to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, tanks, and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes and jacks to position machinery and parts during the installation and set-up of machinery.
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment for correction completion.
• Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate or a recognized trade certificate or equivalency document.
• Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certificate is preferred.
• 3-4 years of directly related work experience.
• As a condition of employment, employees are required, upon hire, to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.
• This position may be required to direct, coach, and mentor apprentices.
