Job Description
POSITION: Intermediate Teacher - Temporary
ASSIGNMENT: Grade 6/7
FTE: 0.4
LOCATION: Lakeview Elementary School
EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing April 11, 2023 until June 30, 2023
Basic Qualifications: A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following:
Training Specialization: Elementary Education with specialization at the intermediate level
Related Teaching Experience: Recent successful experience teaching at the intermediate level
A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.
Additional Qualifications: Not required for this posting

- Commitment to work as part of a team in the development and implementation of the School Growth Plan
- Willingness to work as a member of the school-based team
- Willingness to support whole school initiatives
- Commitment to school-wide Positive Behaviour Support program as a form of addressing behaviour in the classroom and the school as a whole
- Thursdays and Fridays for full days
