Loch Lomond Equipment Sales is an authorized dealer for Prinoth new and reconditioned snow groomers and Argo Xtreme Terrain Vehicles. Our core focus is to offer quality snow cats, support vehicles, miscellaneous equipment and product support to the winter ice road construction sector. We also offer grooming equipment solutions and product support to the skiing and snowmobile recreational sectors, as well as, remote access vehicle solutions for outdoor enthusiasts.

To support operational growth, Loch Lomond Equipment Sales is recruiting for Heavy Duty Mechanics/Technicians to join our team. Reporting to the Service Manager, the position is responsible for repairing and reconditioning various heavy duty and light industrial equipment.

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain various heavy duty and light industrial equipment
  • Evaluate parts for reuse, repair or replacement
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical/electrical and hydraulic problems
  • Use various hand and power hand tools
  • Operate equipment such as overhead or mobile cranes and forklifts to assist in assignments
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the shop, maintenance of shop tools and equipment, loading/unloading and storage of equipment
  • Complete service reports and maintain quality workmanship
  • Demonstrate safe work behaviors at all times

Education and Experience:

  • Trade certification, Journeyman Red Seal and/or currently registered in a related Provincial Apprenticeship program
  • A minimum of 2-3 years experience preferred

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driver's abstract
  • Highly motivated, proactive, self-reliant team player
  • Detail oriented with problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components of equipment
  • Knowledge in welding and fabrication is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Occasional out of town work may be required
