Job Description:

To meet the demand in our busy Service Department, our Grande Prairie location is searching for an energetic and responsible Heavy Duty Mechanic to join the team on a full-time basis on our evening shift, 4:00pm to 12:30am. You, as the ideal candidate, will be a team player with a positive attitude who can work in a fast-paced environment and has truck and transport experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance, overhaul and repair of various components of a variety of heavy and medium duty trucks equipped with diesel engines and automatic or manual transmissions.
  • Completes all maintenance and repair activities in a safe manner and ensures work area is clean and organized according to company policies and procedures
  • Conducts business on behalf of Stahl Peterbilt in a professional manner and represents Stahl Peterbilt culture to ensure fulfillment of company vision and values

Employment Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience
  • Heavy Equipment Technician or equivalent an asset.
  • CVIP license considered an asset
  • Class 3 or 1 drivers license considered an asset
  • MX, CAT, and/or Cummins training will be considered an asset
  • Ability to understand and effectively use computer equipment including computers for diagnostics
  • Must have own tools
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical, physical and criminal record check prior to hiring
