4 Seasons Operations is a small business in Fort McMurray, AB. We are professional, customer-centric, and fast-paced.

Busy shop in Gregoire Fort McMurray looking for a Journeyman Heavy Duty on Road Mechanic with CVIP licence preferred. Fleet and retail work on medium and heavy duty trucks.

Reporting to the Service Manager or designate, the mechanic is responsible for performing repair and maintenance of a wide variety of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect and diagnose vehicles and equipment to identify repair/maintenance needs. Perform repair and maintenance on a wide variety of vehicles (medium and heavy duty). Perform Commercial Vehicle Inspections (CVIP) Supervision of apprentices Year around maintenance (may be exposed to all weather conditions) Ensure companies health, safety and environmental (HSE) management systems are promoted, and part of the day-to-day activities performed on the shop floor. Support and encourage continuous improvement in work practices. Ensure a safe, clean and organized workshop.

Position Requirements:

Completion of high school is required.

Red Seal or Provincial trade HD ticket (on road), Apprentices also considered.

Additional tickets would be an asset.

CVIP ticket.

Valid Class 5 Operators (Drivers) License (no GDL). Valid (or willing to obtain) Class 1, 2, 3 drivers license with airbrake endorsement.

Clean driver’s abstract.

Minimum 5 to 7 years experience working in a shop environment.

Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required.

Valid Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) ticket would be an asset. Valid EGO ticket would be an asset.

Required Skills:

Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., ten (20) time per day Ability to drive in good and poor weather conditions Computer skills and good English writing skills to prepare work orders and inspection reports Effective verbal, listening, reading, and writing English communication skills Team building skills

Benefits:

Competitive wages $63-$65 per Hour based on experience level

$500 sign on bonus after completion of probationary period
