Head Chef Job at The Beaumont
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Newfoundland's newest wedding and conference venue. The Head Chef will be responsible for leading our culinary team and creating exceptional menus for weddings, corporate events, and other special occasions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and innovative menus for weddings, corporate events, and other special occasions, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences
- Lead and manage the kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and in a timely manner
- Manage food inventory, ordering, and budgeting
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Work closely with the venue co-ordinator to ensure that all food needs are met
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume catering or banquet environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules
