At Fresh St. Market's Grocery Department, we provide a wide variety of fresh, high-quality products with a strong emphasis on local and specialty items designed to meet and exceed our customer's expectations. We assist customers with any inquiry, maintain the cleanliness of product shelves and storage areas.

Reporting to the Department Leaders, your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Job Overview

• Bring a positive attitude every day
• Escort customers to the appropriate aisle or shelve in order to assist with purchasing decisions
• Provide excellent customer service
• Ensure the store is clean, safe and in order
• Stock and replace products to avoid any damages
• Keep shelves fully stocked with fresh products
• Prepare store displays and ensure that products are accurately labeled
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Department Leaders

Street Credentials

• You have an impeccable level of cleanliness, attention to detail and organization
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt well to shifting priorities
• You are highly self-motivated and work well under minimal supervision
• You possess strong customer service skills
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• You work well with others in a high-pressure environment
• Previous work experience is a plus but not required. If you are willing to learn, we are eager to train you with the skills you need to succeed
• You can work on your feet up to 8 hours in a day
• Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays and closing shifts. Fresh St. Market Vancouver House is open from 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. daily.
• You have a valid work authorization (i.e., work permit, student permit, PR) in Canada

Fresh St. Market Vancouver House is conveniently located at 1423 Continental St. Vancouver, BC. Hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. Work shifts start as early as 7:00 a.m. and end as late as 10:15 p.m. Shift lengths vary from 4 to 8 hours, depending on what you are looking for.
