Battle River School Division invites applications for the following:
POSITION: Full-Time Temporary French Immersion Teacher
LOCATION: ÉCOLE SIFTON SCHOOL, Camrose, Alberta
Located in the City of Camrose (population 18,740), École SIFTON School is a K to 5 dual-track school with programs in English and French Immersion.
This position is open to internal and external applicants.
INTENT: There is a need for a Full Time Temporary Teacher to fill a leave. This position will commence as soon as a suitable candidate is found, and continue for the 2022-2023 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for all programming for French Immersion Grade 4.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a dynamic and skilled educator, ready to collaborate with staff on numeracy initiatives.
- Training and/or experience in French Immersion.
- Strong interpersonal and relational skills with students
- A proven ability to work collaboratively as part of an educational team
- Willingness and ability to be involved in all aspects of the overall school program
- Willingness to support FIM parents and students as needed
- Strong communication skills
- A passion for promoting and being an ambassador of the French Language and Culture in the school division
