About our Client

Recruiting in Motion Vancouver is an authorized staffing partner and service provider to The University of British Columbia . UBC has several locations that we provide temporary staff including the Point Grey Campus, UBC Robson Square and several UBC hospital sites (VGH and vicinity, St. Paul’s, BCCH, Royal Columbian, and BC Women’s). They are looking for a hard-working, energetic Financial Specialist to join their dynamic department of Enrolment Services on a full-time temporary basis from Jan 3rd to Dec 22nd, 2023 with a high possibility of assignment getting extended. The shifts run from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Responsibilities

Assisting with University year-end financial statement preparation by performing duties such as year-end accruals

Modifying chart fields in the Financial Management System (FMS)

Overseeing appointments and other payroll-related documents

Handling the accounts receivables, credit cards processing and invoices

Preparing invoices for the collection of funds

Responding to written, telephone and in person inquiries

Interpreting financial rules and policies and communicates policies to faculty, staff, and students

Performing other tasks as required

Qualifications

Must have experience in Accounts Receivables/payables

Graduation in Accounting field is a must

Must have experience in performing reconciliations

Must be familiar with invoicing and payroll

Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel)

Ability to work well independently or as part of a team

Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of finance and budgeting is required
