Reporting to the Director Front Office, the Fairmont Gold Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of guest service to our most discerning guests in our exclusive lifestyle hotel within a hotel experience, all while maintaining profitability in a positive, innovative working environment. Inspiring and engaging, the Fairmont Gold Manager uses their leadership and interpersonal strengths to maximize the Gold Floor operation, and ensure an exceptional guest journey. As part of the Front Office Team, the Fairmont Gold Manager will also assist with Manager on Duty shifts when required.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure that all Fairmont Gold Standard Operating Policies and Procedures are adhered to
  • Monitor maintenance and development of the physical Fairmont Gold product
  • Manage revenues and associated expenses for the department (Labour management, Food & Beverage costing, occupancy)
  • Develop and maintain strong guest relationships to ensure Fairmont Gold loyalty
  • Handle and resolve Guests’ complaints, including follow-up in a timely manner
  • Provide service that consistently exceeds our internal and external guest expectations always leading by example and providing memorable experiences
  • Facilitate the Training & Development of the Fairmont Gold Team and participate in the Training & Communication process of all colleagues providing service to Fairmont Gold
  • Provide exceptional Concierge information to our guests about local and area attractions
  • Ensures necessary resources and functional tools & equipment, are readily available. Warm rooms according to Fairmont Gold Standards.
  • Work with the Culinary Team to determine the Fairmont Gold Lounge menu, food cost, ordering, and presentation
  • Provide direction/guidance and assist In-Room Dining/ Fairmont Gold Pantry Attendant in order to maintain service and food quality levels
  • Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity
  • Impeccable presentation
  • Proven ability to inspire and coach a team
  • Passionate about Guest Service, and exceeding guest expectations
  • Proven ability to multitask
  • Excellent leadership, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivator with the initiative and ability to complete projects in a timely manner and great organizational skills with a proven ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous at all times
  • Operational knowledge and proficiency in Front Office Systems and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset
