What is the role?
Do you have a passion for coordination and maintenance? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for a customer-service oriented individual for the Facilities Management Coordinator role. The position supports our corporate and franchise store operations with maintenance needs including: store repairs, dealing with outside vendors and liaising with corporate store staff and franchisees to facilitate building repairs including HVAC, electrical and plumbing. This person will deal with landlords regarding their responsibilities such as roofs and parking lot maintenance as well as coordinate sign designs, secure approvals, and work with vendors for installations.
What will you do?
  • Coordinate repair requests, dispatch repair calls, follow up with vendors and store staff on status of repairs
  • Follow-up with internal staff including senior management on status of outstanding repairs and requests
  • Work with landlords to ensure premises maintenance is carried out in a timely manner
  • Processes repair invoices
  • Coordinate corporate store floor care and janitorial requirements as needed
  • Assist in preparation of sign design using photo mock-ups, obtain preliminary approval and coordinate with other departments for final approval
  • Liaise with landlords and franchisees for approvals of signs and graphics packages
  • Obtain quotes from vendors, issue P.O.s as required.
What will you need to succeed?

Education and Experience
  • Completed post-secondary education in a related field
  • 1-2 years' experience in a related position coordinating maintenance activities, preferably in a retail environment
Knowledge and Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new software such as retail leasing software
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including working with all levels of the organization
  • Having a service approach with stores (franchisees and corporate)
  • Able to influence and modify approach with vendors to ensure work is completed on time
  • Prioritize with conflicting priorities and requests on a regular basis
  • Knowledge of basic building systems and components
  • Proficiency in Word, Power Point, Excel
