The Engineering Manager is a senior member of the Commercial Transformation group in Global DTS (IT) at Kimberly-Clark. The consumer CRM, service, and social platforms and services are leveraged by all regions and their markets as part of the consumer retention, care, and engagement.

The platform includes technologies that enable KC’s Commercial & Marketing Excellence ambition for top tier capabilities. This role owns the platform as a product and related marketing services.

Key relationships for this role are the global Digital Business Product Managers who works closely with global, regional, and market level business teams to drive utilization, realize value, and grow the relationship with the consumer. Other peers own similar global platforms for content, consumer experience, data & measurement, and media.

Global engineering managers for these platforms and related operations report to this role.

Imperatives for this role

  • Digital CRM, CX, or service platform delivery and engineering
  • Platform operations including run, change, and build
  • Deploy engineers into the operational organization of business product teams
  • eCommerce and marketplace platform solution design and integrations
  • Technology platform maturity roadmap and strategy
  • Continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) capability
  • Performance engineering, engagement measurement and monitoring

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in information technology leading large, remote, global teams across time zones and a minimum of 7 years of experience in product or engineering management.
  • 8+ years of experience and deep understanding of digital marketing technologies is required, specifically with large brand CRM and/or consumer service.
  • Experience in building, delivering, and operating direct to consumer platforms and products is required.
  • Ability to think strategically, analytically, and use data to support decisions / tell stories
  • Technical leadership experience with solution architecture, software development, engineering management, application delivery, strong sense of urgency in delivering results, and high cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Significant experience in building highly skilled product teams
  • Operate as a change agent at multiple levels of an organization with outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship-building skills conducive to collaboration at all levels.
