Being a Driver at Urban Impact can be a fun, educational and rewarding experience. A typical day involves multiple stops.

We provide a "concierge" service. Our drivers are customer facing and go inside businesses to collet materials for recycling.

Drivers will learn not only how to safely and efficiently operate their vehicle. You will also learn the business of logistics and how the recycling process works.

We are looking for a safety-driven, energetic and customer service-oriented Rear Load Drivers - Class 5 Drivers.

At least one year previous commercial driving experience is preferred.

We schedule 4 X 10 hour shifts.

Our drivers really go the extra mile! You will be responsible for interacting with our customers as you collect recycling materials from businesses, both large and small, throughout Metro Vancouver.

Job Requirements:

• Class 5 Drivers license and a clean drivers-abstract (also drivers with airbrakes and higher classes – wages will reflect DL class and experience)
• Air Brakes is an asset
• Additional Driver’s Licenses are an asset
• A minimum of one year's previous Commercial Driving Experience is a requirement
• Must have a sound knowledge of Vancouver lower mainland city roadways
• Excellent customer service skills, with a professional, outgoing and friendly personality
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Strong attention-to-detail
• Ability to learn new skills and processes quickly
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Interest in learning about the recycling industry and contributing to its growth
• Able to demonstrate safe lifting practices of up to 50 lbs
• Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
