Dental Hygienist - Oshawa Job at King Ritson Dental Clinic
Come join one of the largest family-centered dental practices in Durham Region. With locations in Oshawa and Ajax , 9 dentists, 4 specialists and over 26 exam rooms you will find your job rewarding with many opportunities to grow.
We offer an excellent Periodontal Program with a Periodontist on staff. Lasers are used by the Periodontist with excellent results for severe periodontal cases.
You are paid for open time in your schedule, and are not sent home if there is open time.
We are looking for every other Monday and every other Friday. There are many other shifts coverages needed as well.
Lots of flexibility provided in vacation time, and you can choose to work when your dentist is off.
Our office has full time Infection Control Officers so you are not required to sterilize your instruments.
We offer Continuing Education Courses paid, as well as in house continuing education
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms by adhering to practices and procedures
- Prepare for and administer treatment plans (including but not limited to x-rays, fillings, cleanings
- Data entry with accurate and timely record keeping
- Address the needs of patients, being thorough and attentive, honoring patient confidentiality at all times
- Educate patients about good oral hygiene including plaque control, flossing/brushing techniques and pre/postoperative instructions
- Comply with dental regulatory guidelines and protocols
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Tracker software an asset
- Ability to work in a team environment as a positive contributing member
- Familiar with current standards within the industry, ethical principles and dedicated to oral health
- Caring bedside manner
