Main Functions

Load and deliver various types of construction materials to and from the fabrication facility, supplier’s warehouse, and other project locations situated near and around the Greater Edmonton Metropolitan area. May be required to drive to and from Calgary on certain occasions.

Reports to:

Superintendent and Shop Manager

Main Duties:

· Perform daily pre-trip inspections as per company safety standards.

· Load all cargo as per Alberta Transportation safety regulations.

· Deliver all goods in proper and due form to specified locations on the weekly delivery list.

· Obey all road safety rules, by-laws and regulations.

· Report all possible mechanical problems and deficiencies to management personnel.

· Maintain and clean company supplied truck and trailer

· Communicate with superintendent and shop manager on whereabouts and possible schedule changes.

Employment Requirements:

· Must have a minimum of a valid Class 5 driving license.

· Experience pulling trailers required.

· Be available to Work Monday to Friday, potentially extended or off “Normal Business Hours” on occasion.

· Must have own means of transportation to and from work.

· Obey all on-site and company safety requirements in accordance to OH&S Act and Regulations

· Must be fit to perform physical work and to lift a minimum of 45 kg (100 lbs)

· Must be in adherence to the company drug and alcohol policy

· Demonstrate team playing attitude, must be punctual and proficient in spoken English

· Forklift ticket and experience an asset.

Additional information:

· Steel toe boots are required

Working Conditions:

· Workdays are Monday to Fridays, starting at 6:30 am, for 8 hours minimum

· Fast paced environment

· Hours of work will be dictated by delivery schedules.
