We are in the midst of revolutionizing our core capabilities to maximize service and mission outcomes. This will include an integrated platform for relationship and people management, learning, intranet and data warehouse. In order to achieve all this, we are now recruiting for a Data Analyst.

What You’ll Do

  • Reporting to the Director, Business Intelligence you will manage and maintain strong relationships between IT and the Business for Reporting and Analytics.
  • Support the data analysis for mapping to data models for the implementation of the Enterprise Data Warehouse
  • Support data migration efforts required for the implementation of the Data Warehouse as tied to The Salvation Army’s digital transformation program
  • Work with internal stakeholders and System Integrators in gathering business requirements for data migration needs and data mapping requirements?
  • Support data governance initiative and collaborate with Data Stewards
  • Ensure completion and collaboration for:?
    • Eliciting the information needs at Territorial Headquarters, Divisional Headquarters, Ministry Units and frontlines
    • Defining Reports and Analytics that are useful and consumable
    • Producing a mapping matrix for all data
    • Supporting assessment and benchmarking for data quality
    • Supporting data extraction, conversion, and integration (working with Solution Integrators and other team members)
    • Supporting data validations and secondary controls

What You Bring

  • A university degree in computer science or approved equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience in reporting and analytics; data quality, data migration and data integration
  • Previous experience in data governance
  • Experience of working in complex, multi-systems / companies and in high priority and highly visible projects?
  • Experience of working within delivery teams for projects of significant size?
  • Experience working in an Agile environment?
  • Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft SQL Server, PowerBI, Data Quality tools, Data integration tools
  • Proficiency in writing data queries and using analysis tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
