Saskatchewan Blue Cross®, one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers, is currently recruiting for a full-time Data Administrator to join our Group Administration Department. This position offers the flexibility to work in-office or participate in hybrid options based in our Saskatoon office. This is a temporary position (for up to 24 months) with the possibility of extension.


Job Function

Working as part of the Group Administration team, and reporting directly to the Manager, Group Administration, the Data Administrator is responsible for providing accurate and efficient entry and set up of group benefit data, and contributing to the day-to-day operational support of the Group Administration area. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete the entry, setup, and maintenance of data in the administration systems with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Compile and verify information
  • Provide consistent and thorough administrative support
  • Conduct peer audits of entered data to ensure accuracy
  • Respond to correspondence in the form of email inquiries
  • Provide support and work effectively within a team environment under general supervision
  • Ensure confidentiality and privacy standards are adhered to
  • Remain current with product knowledge
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

  • Completion of a high school diploma and previous administration experience is required
  • Previous experience in the insurance industry or with the administration of group benefit plans would be considered an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred, with the ability to easily learn new software programs
  • Accurate keyboarding skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and frequent deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on an unrestricted basis
