Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative coordinates all maintenance documents and ensures information is completed accurately and timely to regulatory standards, from customer request to work completion and dispatch.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Serve as the primary customer contact, responding to customer questions, estimates and requests
  • Start to finish work order processing - file creation and maintenance, ensuring proper documentation
  • Develops estimates by costing materials and supplies
  • Update en-route details in third party online (RailcarRX) including commodity, customer, and currency
  • Create estimates using Inspector write ups and upload for approval into customer systems
  • Act as liaison between operations and customers.
  • Maintains customer relations/service by clearly communicating the status of customer work order
  • Provide clear communication throughout repair process
  • Monitor and update third party portals with timely reporting
  • Problem solve and make independent decisions
  • Own and resolve customer account issues to resolution
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in administration or Customer Service role
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Products (Adobe, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with external customer portals and software
  • Exceptional communication skills and customer service practices
  • Previous experience as a Service Writer/Advisor is preferred
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Able to support remote operations
  • General inquires

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
