St. Clair College is seeking an experienced and motivated professional who shares our commitment to quality and student success.

POSITION SUMMARY
The incumbent is a member of the Registrar’s Office Customer Service team who is the main contact for student inquiries. Main responsibilities include all aspects of customer service, registration, student records, cashiering, & fee assessments. The incumbent must also have working knowledge of related operations such as drops/adds, withdrawals, transfer credits, Second Career, clinical clearances, & processing transcripts. A strong knowledge of College regulations as well as policies & procedures is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of a 2-year degree/diploma in Office or Business Administration, or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the College system, including working knowledge of
Peoplesoft, the Student Information System, and academic delivery. The incumbent must have outstanding customer service skills and an understanding of College programs and course offerings, as well as post-secondary education in Ontario.

ANALYSIS & PROBLEM SOLVING

  • Student interested in a specific program but did not pursue traditional method of applying to the program of choice
  • Student wishing to return to the College to complete program requirements
  • General assistance for students inquiring about program/admissions choices, Better Jobs Ontario questions, transferring credits for advanced standing, & other student inquiries
  • Ability to multi-task using tools afforded through computer software
  • Empathy to student concerns

PLANNING/COORDINATING

  • Preparing, maintaining, and processing student records
  • Processing applications received from the Ontario College Application Service (OCAS) and those received internally
  • Organization & time management skills
  • Keeping up-to-date with process changes
  • Provide feedback
  • Availability during office peak hours
