Working in Claims

Claims is the beating heart of any insurance business, and at Admiral it's no different. We're looking for talented individuals with a keen eye for detail and excellent customer service skills to join our busy Claims Department as FNOL (First Notification of Loss) handlers.

Our FNOL teams are the first point of contact for callers in crisis, so having a reassuring, professional and friendly telephone manner is vital to our customers. You will be required to accurately gather as much information about an accident as possible, determine what our stance on liability is and make sure that policy cover applies whilst giving clear and precise information and advice to ensure that expectations are managed right from the start.

After comprehensive training you’ll start taking calls and setting up new claims with the help and support of your colleagues. You will offer advice and guidance on additional services and benefits available during the claim process. You'll also benefit from on-going training to ensure you're always up to date with the latest policies and procedures to deliver the best service possible.

As a member of our Claims team, you can expect to:

  • Communicate with customers via telephone, email, or webchat.
  • Work with colleagues, departments, suppliers and third parties to complete interesting investigations.
  • Provide a first-class service, displaying compassion and empathy when our customers need us most.
  • Collect customer data following an accident accurately, with a keen eye for detail and effective multi-tasking, to ensure fair outcomes.

No previous experience in insurance or call centers is required. We consider the potential of the candidate, their eagerness to work here, their ambition and enthusiasm, over any previous experience in a similar role. We will teach you the rest!
