The Crew Scheduler is a critical member of the operations team and will ensure crew requirements are maintained for the operations in a timely and effective manner while adhering to regulations and communicating with multiple stakeholders. This Crew Scheduler will report directly to the Team Lead, Crew Scheduling and work in close alignment with the Operations Control Center.
** Our operations is 24/7 - 365 day per year and this position involves shift work **
Responsibilities
  • Answer the phone promptly while demonstrating an ability to listen and empathize with crew members and ensuring a high level of internal guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure schedule amendments are in compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS), Commercial Air Service Standards (CASS), the Company Operations Manual (COM), the Flight Attendant Manual (FAM), the Pilot Work Rules and the Flight Attendant Work Rules.
  • Implement IROP (irregular operations) contingency plans.
  • Assist with daily reporting and tracking as required.
  • Monitor and authorize crew shift trades.
  • Adhere to Flight Operations policies and Inflight Department policies as outlined in the Company Operations Manual (COM), the Flight Attendant Manual (FAM), the Crew Services Guidelines, the Pilot Work Rules and the Flight Attendant Work Rules.
  • Ensure appropriate deadheading arrangements are made, confirmed and tracked for crews.
  • Monitor and mitigate Crew duty and rest violations.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Crew Scheduling

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1-year airline experience preferably in an operational role.
  • Previous experience with flight crew schedules and CARS is an asset.
  • Intermediate experience with Sabre CrewTrac, AdOPT, MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills with the capability of establishing respect and credibility through actions.
  • High degree of motivation and commitment to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and take responsibility for accomplishing routine tasks.
  • Proven organizational, time management skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork while contributing to a fun and friendly atmosphere.
  • Be a positive role model, outwardly demonstrating Swoop's values and key competencies.
