Overview
Construction Health & Safety Officer for large construction sites; oversee all trades/subcontractors to ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and legislation; develop, implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures and all related administrative controls; conduct job hazard analysis for all job tasks and ensure development and implementation of safe work practices and procedures for each; ensure use of required personal protective equipment; ensure implementation of emergency evacuation and rescue plans; elimination of unsafe work practices; develop site specific safety plans and procedures; issue safe work permits; conduct site inspections and complete inspection reports; assess and ensure completion of all required safety training; arrange and/or conduct onsite safety orientations, training and safety talks; conduct accident and incident investigations and report completion; early return to work and modified work plans, W.S.I.B reporting and administer proper procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum - NCSO (CHSO), Knowledge of the OHSA and Construction Regulations, five (5) years related work experience, proficient computer and mobile application skills. Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends.
