JOB DESCRIPTION

Cleaner

Position Role: Impact Kitchen is searching for a full-time Cleaner to clean and maintain 5 restaurant locations within downtown Toronto. The ideal candidate will demonstrate efficiency and time management, be detail-oriented, conscientious and have great communication skills.

Reports to: Manager of Operations & Business Development

Essential Duties:

• Follow regular cleaning and maintenance schedules, including:
• Wipe & sanitize windows, walls, doors, fixtures, and all touchpoints
• Thoroughly wash and sanitize bathroom facilities
• Clean and dust furniture, ledges, light fixtures, and other hard-to-reach places
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles into the appropriate waste bins and ensure that receptacles are kept clean
• Vacuum all carpeted areas and spot clean when necessary
• Special cleaning projects as needed
• Sweep, mop, and polish floors using the appropriate cleaning supplies
• Take inventory of cleaning supplies and materials and order more as needed
• Communicate with each restaurant’s Senior Management Team regarding special requests and inform them of anything that is broken or not functioning correctly
• Comply with work safety practices and health and safety standards

Key Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and complete necessary tasks, even with minimal supervision
• Ability to manage time & priorities to ensure all work is completed by the end of the shift
• Demonstrated understanding of standard cleaning supplies and equipment
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
• Possess strong attention to detail
• Must be physically capable of performing 8 hours of physical work each day
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds for short periods of time
• Prior experience in cleaning required
• Work Permit required
