WINMAR® Kootenay specializes in water damage, fire and smoke restoration services, mould removal, and asbestos abatement. Additionally, WINMAR® works on new construction, renovation and demolition projects.

Currently, we are seeking qualified individuals for the following position who can work monday to friday. This position will be based in Cranbrook, BC and will include some overtime and travel to meet the needs of our customers. After-hours and weekend work may be required.

THE JOB:

Full-time Carpenter:

Demonstrates skill in the safe operation of shop tools.

Practices good housekeeping discipline on the job to ensure a safe, non-cluttered workplace

Adheres to company policy and standards at customer sites

Reports production, schedule, job costing, and variances to the Project Manager daily

Knowledge of basic mathematics to complete accurate quantity takeoffs and unit conversions

Pickup and delivery of materials and equipment

Respects and ensures that all health and safety policies and procedures are followed by other employees and sub-contractors

Qualified Candidates:

Skilled in both rough framing and finished carpentry. Install trim, hang doors, millwork, etc.

Self-starter, ability to work without supervision

Prepared for working in all environments, indoors and outdoors

Must have a class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and no criminal record

Strong desire to learn & embrace on-going technical education and personal development

10 years’ experience as a carpenter / painter / drywall finisher

Experience in the property restoration industry an asset

Skilled in both rough framing and finished carpentry. Install trim, hang doors, millwork, etc.

Compensation:

-$31-$40/hr
