Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Application Development Services, the Business Systems Analyst/Project Leader provides advising services to the College to leverage information and technology to provide quality systems and continuous improvement to business systems. The incumbent provides operational support for the Application Development Services team as well as project leadership for IT-related projects.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works closely with various departments to solve organizational information and technology problems by determining and analysing business requirements, designing solutions and recommending business process improvement opportunities
  • Determines business and system information needs and provides requirements to Application Developers
  • Ensures the successful initiating, planning, execution, monitoring and control and closure of projects within cost, time, scope and quality constraints
  • Provides system support to business units within the College
  • Leads and participates in sprint-planning meetings

Qualifications

  • Three-year diploma or degree in Business and/or Information Technology
  • Project Management and/or Business Analysis certification is an asset
  • Minimum five years Business Analysis experience and/or Project Management experience
  • Agile project management experience, specifically Scrum, is an asset
  • Experience in postsecondary education and information technology is preferred
