Salary Range: $65,000.00 to $75,000
Bonus: Potential bonus of $7,500 based on branch performance and company EBITDA (roughly 65% branch performance and 35% company EBITDA)

Summary
The Branch Manager (BM) is responsible for the operations of assigned company branch and shall direct and coordinate the activities of all departments within the branch, front-end customer service, customer education, service center, shipping, receiving and customer delivery. The BM will also cooperate with the sales department to manage house account pricing and sales. In addition, the BM will assist the accounting department in the completion of its duties including customer AR communication, expense tracking and monthly reporting review.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Branch Manager*

  • Deliver branch sales & gross margin targets, aligned with outside sales team to ensure consistent execution
  • Managing branch operational costs and freight, warehouse and office expenses in line with budget and sales
  • Review branch results, daily, weekly and monthly to identify opportunities for improvement and share results across the team
  • Daily review of manager dashboard to ensure operational consistencies:
  • Open orders and margin management
  • Inventory management
  • Weekly review of reporting to ensure operational consistencies:
  • Shrinkage & Waste GL
  • NTS (freight) Review
  • Read customer notes in Salesi
  • Price log changes
  • Call volume
  • Inventory management
  • Replenishment
  • Work collaboratively to support branch and replenishment team objectives
  • Logistics
  • Work collaboratively to support logistics team objectives
  • Ensure execution of fleet management protocol in the branch
  • Health of the inventory
  • Ensure daily cycle counts and research is completed on time
  • Sign off on branch stock adjustments resulting from cycle counts, waste, shrink etc and provide appropriate GL coding
  • Execute process improvements to reduce the quantity, dollar value and/or frequency of inventory shrink, waste and write-downs
  • Align cross divisionally on stale inventory management process and execute to continuously reduce this expense
  • Oversee annual inventory count for respective branch
  • Ensure standard operating procedures are consistently executed within branch team
  • Measure KPIs by role, develop individual plan for improvement
  • Continuous improvement of standards is expected
  • Ensure workplace health & safety requirements are followed
  • Ensure monthly branch audits are performed and issues addressed
  • Leadership of branch operations team
  • Responsible for recruitment, professional onboarding and development of all operational team members within the branch, customer service, service technicians, warehouse and drivers
  • Attend bi-weekly operations meetings and ensuring clear and timely communication of the company direction to branch team
  • Coaching/mentoring team while building team morale and engagement
  • Ensuring daily branch huddles are taking place to drive employee engagement and weekly one on one with each direct report
  • Share results and goals for branch sales and margins
  • Process changes/consistencies

  • Ensure in branch new product launch execution and adoption through branch operational teams, including webinar or Absorb training
  • Integrate with other branch leaders to ensure consistency and sharing of best practices
  • Ensure Forklift training/WHMIS/other safety training and testing and compliance are up to date for all branch team members
  • Execute performance reviews for operations team annually, ensure all Absorb training completed in a timely manner
  • Any other projects/duties as assigned

Qualifications:*

  • Diploma or degree in operations management, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in similar role
  • Financial acumen
  • The ability to delegate, set expectations, monitor progress of all direct reports and provide timely feedback
  • Motivate, inspire And create a sense a team within the branch with the goal of creating an exceptional team
  • The prioritization skills necessary to use time effectively and set action plans to achieve business targets
  • Physical requirements include: Walking, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing ladders, lifting 50 pounds, visual acuity to read bar code labels and location labels
