Boat Valet Driver

Synopsis:

OLBC is a boat rental, valet, and exclusive members company revolving around delivering High-end Luxury surf and pleasure boats to the lake street boat launch in dt kelowna throughout the summer season.

We are looking for reliable individuals with a who have experience hooking up, towing & launching boats into the water safely and efficiently, while maintaining a patient and calm demeanour in summertime traffic.

The boat Launch can be a busy and hectic environment on weekends and especially long weekends.

A typical day will involve you hooking up boats at our yard on Bay Ave in Dt kelowna, coordinating boat delivery & retrieval and launch at the Water Street boat launch multiple times per day.

Customer orientation of boat as required, boat pre trip inspection, monitoring operations to ensure the members are safely and proficiently operating boats

As you are also interacting with customers, a positive and cheerful disposition is essential as you are the face of the company.

We are looking for Full time/part time, occasional and on call positions, especially on weekends and long weekends, or to cover staff shortages.

There is also an opportunity to move in to a supervisory role for those who have the ambition and drive to grow with the company.

The Boat Driver may Additionally be required to:

Performing routine inspections of boats to ensure their proper functionality and cleanliness before and after transportation. Reporting any maintenance codes immediately to your supervisor.

Providing customers with clear and concise rental boat instructions, including safety procedures, proper operation, and suggested boating routes

Assisting customers in loading and unloading themselves and gear onto boats, and answering questions, ie blue tooth phone to boat stereo.

Cleaning, maintaining, and repairing rental boats as needed on busy or short staffed days.

Ensuring that all safety regulations are followed during launch and retrieval of boats

Qualifications:

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to safely drive a trailer and transport boats

Knowledge of basic boat mechanics and maintenance (preferred)

Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment

Valid driver's Licence

Good physical condition and able to handle the physical demands of the job
