Contributes to the overall success of the Institutional Management Department ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

The role is to support the functional areas of Institutional Client Services and contribute to the overall success of the Institutional Management team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and coordinate account opening and client profile update documents.
  • Model, rebalance and generate transactions for portfolio managers to review.
  • Verify the impact of Portfolio transactions before they are executed.
  • Liaise with internal equity and fixed income traders.
  • Review client investment policies.
  • Support CSAs
  • Provide analytical support for sales and marketing activities.
  • Prepare presentations to clients and prospects as requested by portfolio managers.
  • Prepare and verify compliance reports.
  • Analyze the performance of investments.
  • Customize monthly and quarterly reports for clients.
  • Possibility in the medium term to assume additional responsibilities in a more direct relationship with customers.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor in Finance or Business or another related field.
  • Willingness to enroll in the CFA program and/or the CIM designation and/or the AAR
  • 1 to 3 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Bilingualism would be considered an asset (French and English)
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and experience with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Prior client onboarding experience would be considered an asset.
  • Experience at a custodian would be considered an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Work in a standard office-based environment. Home-based work may be necessary (e.g. COVID 19).
