Job Summary:

This role will report to the Site Superintendent. Duties include supporting all on-site activities ensuring the completion of each project on time and on budget by using planning, organizing and excellent communication; completing quality inspections; supervising staff and sub-contractors. This role will work shoulder to shoulder with other sites, procurement, operations, and the design division.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Create daily, weekly, and monthly construction schedules that achieve the project completion timeline within labor budget parameters.
  • Assist the Superintendent in managing work on site to ensure the compliance of construction with the drawings and specifications
  • Support the Superintendent in planning and implementing schedules, determining manpower levels, material quantities, inspections, equipment and requirements are maintained
  • Monitor work performance to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are being followed
  • Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction management system improvements.
  • Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures for weekly labour, equipment and materials; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
  • Achieves construction quality standards by conducting daily inspections and taking corrective action as required.
  • Advise Superintendent and Project Manager of potential problems, work interference and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems
  • Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with and enforcing codes.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • Resolving work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity and quality.
  • Enhances organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Essential Requirements:

  • Positive attitude, willing to encourage co-workers, and act as an ambassador for our companies.
  • Previous experience in Restaurant Construction and Renovations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and set priorities with exercise flexibility where necessary.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics and construction documentation.
  • Understanding of all safety procedures and recognition of hazards and proactively eliminating risk to employees and site.
  • Literate in the use of computer and Microsoft Office applications.
