Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools serves over 10,085 students in 21 schools in Red Deer, Sylvan Lake, Rocky Mountain House, Innisfail, and Olds. It also supports the learning of over 600 students in a Home Education Program. Administrative Position - Vice Principal position at St. Matthew Catholic School in Rocky Mountain House, AB

The successful candidate will possess strong Catholic Christian leadership skills, be well versed in authentic learning strategies as well as an understanding of inclusive, learner-centered environments. Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of English language learners and be able to help develop and support comprehensive literacy and numeracy approaches within school communities. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in team will be strong assets in these positions.

Successful candidates for administrative positions within RDCRS will:

a. be a positive and confident instructional leader who is:

• a strong faith leader with an understanding of the Catholic mission of our schools and the evangelization and catechetical responsibilities inherent in our role as Catholic educators
• an educational leader who understands and shows evidence of the implementation of effective instructional leadership in the areas of literacy, inclusion, faith, and technology
• able to lead and guide educators while providing innovation, vision, and leadership within learner-centered environment
• research-driven and action-oriented
• energetic and approachable who understands the importance of building relationships and is an open, two-way communicator and team builder
• dedicated to excellence through high expectations of self and others
• consultative yet decisive
• multi-tasking, stress management and problem-solving
• professional oral and written communication

b. engage stakeholders:

• develop relationships with the parish community
• engage with the parent community

Educational Qualifications:

• Must have a Masters in Educational Leadership or working towards a Masters Degree
• Must have previous Administrative experience

Candidates must be a practicing Catholic with a current pastoral reference listed.
