We are currently hiring an Apprentice Electrician for commercial, industrial, civil construction projects and service work.
As an Apprentice, You Will:
- Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, blueprints, and Electrical Code
- Install and connect electric motors, soft-starts, VFDs and associated control wiring
- Install and maintain traffic signal and roadway lighting systems
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair various electrical systems and equipment
- Plan and organize tasks and procure material for work activities and projects
What You'll Bring:
- Registered with OCT and MTCU as an Apprentice Electrician
- IMSA-Traffic Signal Technician Level 1 & 2 Qualifications an asset
- Knowledge of MTO specifications and documentation relating to electrical work an asset
- Class DZ license an asset
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, and Word an asset
- Positive attitude with an emphasis on performing work safely
- Excellent communication skills and ability to convey information accurately
- Ability to work productively in a highly functional team
- Ability to set priorities and work with minimum supervision
- Ability to travel with the potential of being on-call
