Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

  • Participates as a member of the portfolio in a manner that contributes to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Organizes and prioritizes independently the administrative activities for the Coordinator Critical Care Education, and ensures that all work is completed within established timeframes.
  • Takes initiative to handle matters and solve administrative problems not requiring the direct personal attention of the supervisor/s while keeping the supervisors/s informed of all potential problems.
  • Supports the Critical Care Education team and CCNOP as required for select activities, such as minutes, system access requests, etc.

Experience

  • Five years directly related experience.
  • Experience in scheduling and coordinating meetings required.
  • Previous health care experience would be an asset.
  • Experience in staff payroll processes utilizing SAP would be an asset.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Complete high school education Manitoba standards, required.
  • Formal training in applied office skills required.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.

SPECIAL TRAINING:

  • Graduate of a Medical Terminology course is an asset.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency with computerized systems (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, SAP Timekeeping and payroll, and PowerPoint) is essential.
  • Experience with email and computerized calendars, Microsoft Teams and Zoom platforms, ESF applications – Success Factors.
  • Typing speed 60 wpm.
  • Ability to compose correspondence on behalf of Director.
  • Experience recording and preparing minutes and agendas.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to prioritize a large workload and independently complete a variety of administrative duties.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively contribute to a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Physical Requirements

  • Required to work for long periods of time at a computer.
