Robert Half Finance & Accounting - Contract Talent is looking for a sharp Accounting Clerk whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Receivable (A/R). Your responsibilities in this role
Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, process daily invoices/credit, and help with collection of past due balance
Transmit financial information to journals and ledgers
Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
Resolve discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Classify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
Establish strong relationships with customers and respond to queries
Back-up receptionist
Assist the team with any administrative duties assigned
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Knowledge of Accounts Receivable
Deadline driven and process oriented while taking personal accountability for results
Good computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (particularly Outlook, Word & Excel)
Highly detailed, focused, with a strong ability to organize and multi-task in a fast-paced and high-volume environment, with a high degree of accuracy
A great attitude, professional demeanor, and excellent communications skills are mandatory
Experience in the construction industry is an asset but not a requirement
Understanding of Receptionist Duties
