Temporary: Immediately - June 30, 2023 or full return of the incumbent
Qualifications:
- BC Certification
- Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent
- Bachelor of Education in Library Science or Diploma in Library Science is an asset
- Previous experience working as a teacher librarian at the secondary level is preferred
- Knowledge and experience with Destiny (automated library program)
- Demonstrated current knowledge of the renewed curriculum, including the learning and core competencies and appropriate resources, is essential
- Demonstrated ability to use a variety of instructional and assessment strategies is essential
- Demonstrated ability to integrate appropriate technologies into educational programs
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers in similar grades
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills
