Our client is seeking to hire a full-time permanent nanny to care for their child.
Location: Mississauga (Erin Mills Town Centre)
Children: 1 child - 5 year old boy
Role Type: Full-time Permanent
Schedule: Mon to Fri 3PM to early evening (shift will end anywhere between 6:30 and 9PM daily). Occasional full days and weekends. **Guaranteed 30 hours / week. Options for additional hours, including mornings if candidate is interested.
Start Date: Jan 2, 2023
Compensation: $25 - $29 / hour
About The Family
The family is very gentle, kind and soft-spoken. The mother has a relaxed, easygoing demeanour and is a positive, upbeat person. She believes strongly in a child-driven parenting approach and values free play and exploration over highly coordinated activities. She dislikes rules for the sake of rules, and her rules stop at a healthy diet and sufficient sleep. The son is quiet and a bit timid. He has a ton of imagination and can spend hours playing with his toys and making up stories. He also enjoys going for walks and playing in the playground.
The Perfect Caregiver
The perfect caregiver is someone who is very soft and gentle, and is aligned with a child-led approach and prefers free play to structured activities. The nanny should be someone who is safety-conscious and attentive, but does not take an overly strict approach with the child. Flexibility with schedule and reliability is a must, as the mother is a resident doctor and has a demanding work schedule.
Responsibilities
Provide complete care for the child in the employer's home and perform all tasks related to the care of the child. Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in which the child can thrive and develop.
Take care of child and ensure his well-being
- Support with after-school pickups
- Perform household-related tasks related to the children, including light tidying and easy meal prep
- Implement daily routines.
