Wide Format Printing and Finishing
Summary of Responsibilities: As a wide format operator and finisher, you will be required to operate roll to roll and UV flatbed printers and digital cutter. You will be responsible for ripping files for output and ensuring jobs are printed to specifications as per the docket. You will also be required to do finishing and packaging of jobs for shipping.
Experience:
- Previous experience using roll to roll and UV flatbed printers
- Marketing background is preferred
- Computer skills to rip files (Caldera, Onyx, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Knowledge of Mac/PC
Abilities:
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written
- Self starter and motivated, who can work with minimal supervision
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Prioritize jobs according to scheduling and meet deadlines
- Must be able to multi-task and problem solve
- Quality conscious
- Able to do shift work
- Increase productivity and profitability in the department
- Working with an existing team and providing value wherever possible.
Knowledge:
- Hands on experience with digital printers
- Finishing, use of rulers and knives to trim graphics
- Knowledge of signage and the display industry
- Knowledge of different medias and substrates
Equipment:
- Clean and maintain equipment and work area, following maintenance procedures. Ensure work area is tidy and free of hazards.
- Inform manager of equipment problems and coordinate with service tech for repair
- Perform routine computer maintenance, including software updates and utility programs
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
