We are looking foraFull Time Forklift Operator - Shift Cfor ourLondon ONlocation, working 5x 8.5hours shifts Thursday-Friday-Saturday -Sunday-Mondaynights.

As a member of the warehouse team, you required to complete various warehouse duties, including to work in a cold environment.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Staging /set up of packaging materials in respective packaging departments
  • Picking and storing of raw materials
  • Preparation of next day's receiving tickets
  • Receiving of raw materials
  • Locating products in the warehouse; use of forklift required
  • Order selection and loading of trailers
  • Housekeeping of the receiving and shipping areas
  • Inventory cycle counts
  • Working with power equipment, hi-reach forklifts and walkies
  • Adherence to procedures, safety practices and policy

Position Requirements:

  • Forklift certification
  • Stand up reach truck experience, preferably Crown
  • Comfortable workingin cold temperatures (freezer and refrigeration)
  • Scheduling flexibility
  • Ability to work independently, well organized, effective judgment
  • Proficient with computer applications and comfortable learning new systems
  • Focused on detail, accuracy and a strong mathematical aptitude
  • Cooperative and works well with others, strong communicator

Shift: 09:00pm - 5:30am

Schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday

Pay Rate:$21.33 (probationary), $23.70 (full rate)

Shift premium:$0.70 (between 7 pm and 5 am)

Weekend premium:$0.70 (between 5 am and 7 pm)

The Production Manager is responsible for supporting and coordinating all operations in the production facility. Oversees individual supervisors and leads to effectively and efficiently perform their jobs to successfully produce orders.

Duties will include:

Operation of Production Facility

  • Ensures food safety and quality under proper people safety productivity, cost and morale to achieve positive results in all areas of production. Work continuously to improve in all areas.
  • Develop and apply Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean Manufacturing (LM) tools to continuously understand problems and improve performance
  • Plan, lead and contribute to on-going stream of new products and CI initiatives as Team Leader and Team Member
  • Continually review with supervisors/leads their job tasks and work together to create cost saving actions and/or ideas to improve.
  • Meets with supervisors to discuss improvements and work with teams to complete root-cause analysis on issues identified in the process.

Leadership, Supervision and Individual & Team Development

  • Create an environment of collaboration and cooperation among supervisors
  • Provide direct reports with leadership, direction, feedback and coaching to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skills
  • Achieve manufacturing objectives by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies and procedures.
  • Continue to improve managerial abilities and increase subordinates' skills and capabilities.
  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
  • Provide direction, development and leadership to production supervisors.
  • Review upcoming job duties with supervisors and leads on a regular basis.

Compliance with Regulatory, Company and Industry Best Practice Operating and Safety Requirements:

  • Ensures that the Site Safety & Quality Policies, Operational Procedures and High Standards of Workmanship are maintained at all times.
  • Stay current with new technologies and trends in the manufacturing industry and communicate this to all supervisors/leads.
  • Monitor quality of all goods produced.
  • Identify, report and problem solve conditions or practices that may compromise people & food safety or overall production effectiveness.

Budgeting and Management of Line/Department Resources & Expenses

  • Monitor all expenses incurred in the production facility. Develop and control profits, plans and budget.
  • Control and minimize labor overtime.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Effective leadership, coaching, training and mentoring abilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate throughout the organization in written and verbal form and the ability to prioritize work assignments and analyze data.
  • Ability to be a productive team member in both formal and informal settings.
  • Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform any other related job tasks that may be assigned by the supervisor/manager.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or 5 years' plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
