Warehouse Associate (Temporary to Permanent)

About Our Client

Our client is a steel supplier, specializing in stainless and nickel. They are looking for hardworking, strong individuals who are committed to customer satisfaction and getting orders out on time. You would be working in the warehouse creating the steel pipes using machines, so you must have good attention to detail and strong math & measuring skills. If this sounds like you, please apply!

What You Will Be Doing, as a Warehouse Associate:

• Read specifications or follow verbal instructions
• Properly load material onto the cutting bed with appropriate material handling equipment; may require lifting of up to 60+ lbs.
• Frequent bending, pushing and lifting of 60+ pounds
• Monitor the cutting operation and remove cut pieces as required
• Assess cut pieces for quality and prepare product for delivery
• Checking and completing all necessary paperwork
• Properly package and secure all orders which may include making skids, boxes, strapping and wrapping items accordingly
• Assist machine operators, material handlers and other workers with various duties involving physical handling of product, materials and equipment when required

What You Should Have, as a Warehouse Associate:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar environment
• Minimum of 1 year experience on forklift with a valid license – preferably heavy material
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused working environment
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, small business environment
• A motivated team player
• Ability to accurately read a measuring tape
• Previous factory/ Warehouse experience is an asset
• High attention to detail and quality
• Quick learner with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Must be fully vaccinated

In Return, You Will Receive:

• $21.00 per hour
• Lots of overtime available
• Paid weekly, every Friday.
• Opportunity for permanent hire
• 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it
• Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends

The Shift You Will Be Working is:

· Monday to Friday

· 8:00am to 5:00pm

Where You Will Be Working, as a Warehouse Associate:

• Speers Road and Third Line (Oakville)
• May be bus accessible
