About the Opportunity

The Oncology clerk reports to the manager of Oncology Program for NZ and is responsible for ensuring smooth information processing, flow and support for patients, their families, physicians and the health care team while contributing to the efficient daily operation in the Oncology program at CEHHC. Daily functions are reflective of the service provided by the Oncology program, including Systemic Therapy Oncology Clinic and General Practitioner Oncology Clinic.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

    • Graduate of a post-secondary secretarial or office administration program or equivalent required
    • Successful completion of a recognized Medical Terminology course is required
    • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a health care setting required
    • Minimum of one (1) year experience supporting Oncology programs
    • Experience with OPIS (Cancer Care booking system) required
    • Demonstrate Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks required
    • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team required
    • Proficient keyboarding skills
    • Demonstrated knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to work in an area with frequent interruptions
    • Proficiency in computer applications for Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in current Meditech applications preferred (Admissions/OE/EMR)
  • Experience with EFR, Megamation, SHARE, SAP and MFUs preferred
  • Ability to forward think and present new ideas to improve work flow considered an asset
  • Previous work attendance may be considered
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

$20.09 - $21.90 Hourly
