This position is located at our Penhorwood Site which is located approximately
70km west of Timmins towards Foleyet and requires daily travel for scheduled shifts.
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
- Works under the direction of the Lead Operator and according to established Federal & Provincial regulations, and Company prescribed work procedures and safety policies.
- Performs Operator 2 and/or Truck Driver duties as required and as per Operational requirements.
- Operates, adjusts and maintains milling equipment and associated buildings.
- Performs product testing for mill and railcar requirements.
- Hauls Concentrate to Foleyet Load-out facility.
JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONS
- Fully supports the Magris Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) programs by participating in their implementation, maintenance and enforcement as well as compliance with Corporate programs and policies.
- Takes proper samples from the circuit, trucks and railcars and performs production Quality Control tests required to ensure that quality standards are being met.
- Collects and performs testing on product samples for moistures and densities.
- Assists with the installation, relocation and testing of equipment.
- Sets up and operates typical mobile mining equipment – including but not limited to loader, back-hoe, grader track mobile and utility trucks to move ore or waste or to support other mine activities.
- Performs required pre-use shift inspection of mobile equipment.
- Operates crushers, cleans, inspects and monitors equipment.
- Maintains, repairs, fuels and lubricates equipment as required and as per the manufacturer’s recommendations on a regular basis.
- Performs other equipment operation and routine maintenance duties.
- Maintains good housekeeping and 5S practices of crusher, floatation & drying building, silos, trucks and Foleyet work areas.
- Perform other duties as may be required and assigned by the Leader or Staff Supervisor.
FOLEYET SPECIFIC ASPECTS (If Operator is stationed in Foleyet Operation)
- Complete forms on Yard Update and Foleyet Report.
- Conduct and record the dip levels in fuel tank.
- General Foleyet Maintenance
- Checking belts on blowers
- Airlocks on silos
- Prepare Foleyet for night shift

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferably 1-2 years in a Mineral processing facility
- Basic Mill Common Core
- AZ Driver’s License
Knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics:
- Forklift Training and Certification
- First Aid Certification
- CN Rules training and certification
- Takes additional training as necessary
- May be required to instruct or assist in the instruction or training of others
