Trader:
We have a Trader-Speciality role open which is gong to be base out of Winnipeg but for an excellent candidate we can also explore working remotely.
5-6 years of minimum experience selling grains and pulses in Canada and especially North America is required.

Role Overview
This role is to lead the marketing efforts for specialty products for Client into the Canadian and US markets. This includes peas, lentils and chickpeas processed out of our facilities in Canada and the US as well as pea protein and starch manufactured at our fractionation plant in Canada. The ideal candidate would have in depth experience marketing these products in North America as well as deep relationships with existing buyers that Client can leverage on. This role will require some travel within North America to important trade shows and customer visits.

Key Responsibility Areas
1. Successfully implementing a sales strategy and executing annual revenue and volume targets for each of the key products
2. Operating within annual budgets for costs such as travel, marketing and trade shows
3. Scouting for and securing opportunities for new revenue streams
4. Managing and growing the customer base. This includes customer onboarding, processing credit applications and following up on receivables
5. Managing and maintaining all marketing material
6. Accurate costing for all sales to factor any costs that the company might incur in the transaction such as financing and logistics

Qualifications/Experience
1. Minimum of 7-10 years trading experience as well as 5 - 7 years in trading pulses and/or plant proteins.
2. Deep relationships with potential customers such as food manufacturers and wholesalers particularly in the US food market
3. A keen understanding of market trends, segmentation and pricing for the various products.
4. A good understanding of marketing and product positioning to unlock higher values
5. Excellent written, communication and presentation skills

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$85,000.00 per year

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
