Sunnybrook Welding & Machine Shop is a manufacturer of combine aftermarket components, located near Sunnybrook, Alberta. We are looking for a skilled salesperson to join our team, ideally local to the area. We prefer an individual who is seeking a long-term career and loves being part of a team. We are looking for an ambitious, motivated, self-driven salesperson with a minimum of 10 years of outside sales experience who ideally has a background in agriculture and agriculture/ combine equipment. The person must be organized, efficient, hands-on, and committed to continuous improvement and delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a sales representative of the company, you will grow existing accounts, identify new opportunities locally, nationally and internationally. In addition, the candidate shall have interpersonal skills to work with a team of diverse backgrounds and should be passionate about learning and acquiring new skills.

As a small organization, SBW values team members who can learn and perform in different areas of the organization to balance the workload. This position is balanced between in office and home-based, with travel required throughout the prairie provinces and reports directly to the Owners.

The ideal candidate:

· Possesses exceptional interpersonal, communication and time management skills as well as the ability to develop meaningful relationships with customers and dealers

· Be able to work independently and as part of a team

· Must possess a valid driver’s license and have own reliable transportation

· Having a background in the agriculture industry to understand the functionality of the equipment we build is an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire new customer accounts in your specified territory as well as service existing customers, logging actions in CRM database. Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information received from dealer conference and trade show.
  • Develop sales strategies and maintain high productivity levels
  • Call on businesses in person, from major corporations to small companies
  • Conduct presentation meetings with potential clients as needed

· Represent the company at tradeshows as required

· Provide customer/ dealer pricing, availability and input orders as accepted

  • Identification and pursuit of new sales accounts.
  • Planning and executing sales follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Thorough knowledge of product lines.
  • Domestic travel for training and support.
  • Monitor and administrate any warranty, sales support and incentive programs.
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to call in on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers on sales floor or via phone.
  • Display or demonstrate product, using samples or catalogue’s and emphasize features.
  • Quote prices and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained from accounts.
  • Review open sales orders, open purchase orders, open vendor claims, and open transfers.

· Discuss defective or unacceptable goods with management team.

Job Type: Full time, permanent (Salary + commission)

Experience: Salesperson, 10 years preferred

Requirements:

  • 10 years of Sales and Operations experience, Agriculture industry experience is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills keeping the sales team and management apprised as required
  • Professional telephone communication skills and active listening.
  • Accurate sales order entry.
  • Must demonstrate exemplary detailed record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Must demonstrate excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to operate basic Microsoft office software such as Word and Excel, as well as have an aptitude for learning and navigating other software as required
  • Must have a valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Will be held accountable to performance goals.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
